Q: I’ve never had an event catered before. Can you tell me the basics of how I order and set up my party with Poppa Naps BBQ?
A: Poppa Nap’s BBQ has a large smoker trailer we take with us to smoke your meats and sides. Our smoker lets us keep your food hot if you’re not ready for it right away. You choose the meats and sides you would like:
2 meats & 2 sides is $14 a person
3 meats & 2 sides is $17 a person
4 meats & 2 sides is $20 a person
Choose your meats: Chicken, Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Pork Spareribs. We add Nevada tax and charge a gratuity at the end. We provide bbq sauce on the side and Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. We bring tables for serving and plastic tablecloths. If you want our serving tables to match your linens, let us know. We will also set up chafing dishes with safe non-toxic heat canisters. Poppa Naps BBQ brings plastic forks, plastic knives, quality napkins, extra sturdy plates and serving utensils. When everyone has eaten we foil the leftovers and leave the food with you.
Q: What is the minimum amount of people you will book an event with?
A: The minimum we require is 25 people.
Q: What about the minimum amount of people required for a pig roast?
A: The minimum is 35 people for a pig.
Q: How much will Poppa Naps BBQ charge me to feed everyone at my event?
A: We charge per person + tax + 18% gratuity. No other hidden fees. A deposit is required of 50% prior to your event and the remaining 50% is owed the day of the event. Also, if you would like us to provide soft drinks or water we charge $1 per person.
Q: Does Poppa Naps BBQ require anything from me when it comes to serving items (e.g. chaffing dishes, serving utencils, plates, tables)?
A: We sure don't! We have everything you might need to make your event effortless when it comes to the food. Poppa Naps BBQ brings serving tables, chaffing dishes, canned heat, red fitted plastic table cloths for the serving tables, plates, napkins, plastic ware.
Q: Where is Poppa Naps BBQ located?
A: We do not have a restaurant or a food truck. We are a mobile catering company that caters exclusive events. Poppa Naps caters to private and business events of 25 - 1,200 or however many you need to feed! 'We come to you!'
Q: Will Poppa Naps BBQ make my friend and I some of your awesome pulled pork and brisket?
A: Unfortunately we cannot. Poppa Naps is a small Mobile Barbecue and Catering business that cannot take small requests of less than twenty five (25) people at a time.
Q: I love Poppa Naps food! Does Poppa Naps BBQ have a restaurant we can go to?
A: Possibly in a few years. Right now Poppa Naps BBQ is sticking with personalized mobile catering for you and your guests at any number of events: weddings, house parties, reunions, company & corporate events, nonprofit luncheons & events, birthday parties, holiday parties, pool parties and beyond.
Q: So how do I get Poppa Naps BBQ in my belly?
A: Have a party or event! Check our calendar to see if we're busy on the day of your event. See our Calendar HERE. Then give Poppa Nap a call at (Cell): 619-757-4562. We prefer to cook for at least a minimum of twenty five (25) people. Please call at least a week before the event to give us enough time to plan and ready your delicious meal! On the day of the event we will prepare you the FINEST BARBECUE you've ever tasted at Your place!
Q: Do you have any vegetarian options?
A: We can make you some tasty Veggie Burgers, Grilled Veggies, Grilled Zucchini Planks, Mac and Cheese, Potato Salad, White Rice, Grilled Potato Wedges, Coleslaw, and Green Salad.
Q: I feel like having steaks grilled at my party! Do you offer steaks?
A: We do! Poppa Naps BBQ has:

The price is per person and includes grilled veggies, green salad & a roll and butter.
Q: What is "The Yummer"?
A: "The Yummer" is the most basic of Poppa Naps (AKA Napoleon Bacerra) combination plates. It includes one (1) meat, two (2) sides and a roll. "The Yummer" is $11.00 per person. You can choose one of our four meats: Beef Brisket, Grilled Chicken, Pork Spareribs or Pork Shoulder (Pulled Pork).
Q: What is "The Grubber"?
A: "The Grubber" comes with your choice of two (2) meats, two (2) sides and a roll. Choose any two (2) of the following: Beef Brisket, Grilled Chicken, Pork Spareribs, or Pork Shoulder (Pulled Pork).

Q: What is "The GutBuster"?
A: "The GutBuster" is a combination plate that includes your choice of three (3) meats: Beef Brisket, Grilled Chicken, Pork Spareribs, or Pork Shoulder (Pulled Pork). It also comes with your choice of two (2) sides.
The cost is $17.00 per person.
Q: What is "Totally Carnivorous, SON"?
A: "Totally Carnivorous, SON" is a combination plate that includes ALL four (4) meats: Beef Brisket, Grilled Chicken, Pork Spareribs, and Pork Shoulder (Pulled Pork). It also comes with your choice of two (2) sides and a roll. The cost is $20.00 per person.
Q: How does Poppa Nap keep the food hot during events?
A: Poppa Nap loves to cook on the spot so you and your guests can smell and see what wonderful barbecue you'll be having. Once the food is cooked, if need be, we keep the meats and hot sides in the smoker at 180-200 degrees holding temperature. When you're ready to eat we have chafing dishes with canned heat to keep the barbecue warm for you and your guests while everyone fills their plate.
Q: Does Poppa Naps BBQ supply the plasticware, plates, napkins & condiments?
A: Of course! Providing these is part of the expirience of hiring Poppa Naps BBQ. We want you to relax and not worry about a thing when it comes to the food. There's no shopping needed... just tasty barbecue and fun with your guests.
Q: Will you roast a pig for me if I get it myself?
A: No. Poppa Nap prefers to choose the pig and see it through from the end of its life to your plate. We want to assure the meat is properly stored and cooked before you enjoy your feast!
